The wet blasting cabinets that Surface Prep provide are the perfect alternative to dry blasting. Allowing a virtually dust-free process with a softer surface finish due to the abrasive media being suspended in the water. If the application requires an optimal cosmetic finish, wet blasting is by far the better option.
How it works:
- The water and abrasive (slurry) are contained within the cabinet sump.
- Delivery of the slurry to the blast nozzle is via a hard wearing glandless polyurethane pump.
- Compressed air is added at the blast nozzle to accelerate the slurry and create the cleaning effect.
- The pressure can be adjusted with the leg mounted pressure regulator.
- After contact with the component, the slurry then drains back into the sump creating a re-circulating system.
- Fine broken-down media and other contaminants are fed via an overflow to a sedimentation filter located at the rear of the wet blasting machine.
The Wet Blast Cabinet:
- 100% stainless steel construction.
- Side door with heavy duty slam handle.
- Fully bonded rubber lined blast chamber.
- 3KW immersed heater to provide a warm solution for degreasing.
- Polyurethane glandless impeller pump.
- Fully sealed rinse gun.
- LED lighting strips which are mounted on the roof of the cabinet.
- Leg Mounted Regulator & Pressure Gauge.
- Closed Loop System. This does not require a drain nearby and will not consume large amounts of water.
